Privacy Policy

Salengin is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit this website, request a demo, or use the platform as a client.

1. Two different roles

For your own business and contact details, we are the data controller: we decide why and how they are used, and this policy applies.

For the data inside your store, meaning your customers, their orders and their addresses, you are the controller and we act on your instructions as a processor. We do not use your customers' data for our own purposes, and your own privacy policy governs how you treat them.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: business name, contact name, WhatsApp number, email address, industry and any message you send when you request a demo, open a support ticket or subscribe.

Billing information: the records needed to raise and settle invoices. We do not store full card numbers. Payments are handled by your bank or payment provider.

Technical information: standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, kept for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

3. How we use it

• To respond to a demo request and prepare a quote
• To provide, configure and maintain your store and account
• To send invoices, payment reminders and service notices
• To answer support requests over WhatsApp or email
• To detect, investigate and prevent abuse or fraud
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

We rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and our legal obligations. We do not sell your data, we do not rent contact lists, and we do not use advertising profiles.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of third-party providers to operate the service: cloud infrastructure and hosting, transactional email delivery, and messaging. They process data only on our instructions, only as far as needed to do their job, and under their own contractual confidentiality and security obligations. We do not grant them any right to use your data for their own purposes.

If you need the current list of providers for a due-diligence or procurement review, write to us and we will supply it.

5. Where data is stored

Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure operated by established providers, in a data-centre region chosen for proximity and performance for your customers. Where data crosses a border, it is protected by the provider's contractual safeguards. If your business is subject to a data-residency requirement, raise it before you sign, and we will tell you plainly whether we can meet it.

6. How long we keep it

Demo requests that do not become clients are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Client account and store data is kept for as long as your subscription is active and for 30 days afterwards, during which you can request a full export. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then rotated out.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit with SSL. Access to production systems is restricted to the staff who need it, administrative access is authenticated and role-limited, and backups are taken daily. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you promptly and tell you what we know.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you signed in to the admin area and a security cookie to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on this site. Blocking cookies will prevent you from signing in.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, export your store data, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Write to support@salengin.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

10. Children

The platform is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified to active clients by email or WhatsApp, and the "last updated" date above will change.
